Healthy Hair Food Recipe – Chicken and Orange Salad

Our hair is made of cells produced mainly from the proteins we eat. Our diet is extremely important to keep our hair healthy and to ensure strong growth.

With protein being an essential building block of good hair, we thought we would give you a recipe, which includes some key foods. Chicken being a lean source of amino acids/proteins, and spinach containing an appreciable amount of iron, calcium, and whole host of nutrients including Vitamins A, B, C, E and K, Manganese, Magnesium and Potassium.

It’s healthier, cheaper and arguable more beneficial than any hair/nail multivitamins being sold at your local shop.

 

Healthy Chicken and Orange salad
Ingredients

– 2 breasts of chicken

– 2 oranges

– half red onion

– 1 pepper

– half a lettuce

– 100g bag on spinach

– 100g feta cheese

– 50g of walnuts

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

 

Method
  1. Cut chicken breasts into strips and cook in pan with olive oil with finely chopped red onions.
  1. Peel the oranges, cut out the segments and add to bowl. Squeeze the rest of the orange juice into a bowl and mix with the olive oil to make a dressing. Toss salad in the dressing, scatter over chicken, then serve.
